
Briana graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and graduated in May 2022 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her Master’s in Educational Psychology.
Briana has been in public health research for two years. She continues her work with the National Initiatives research team at the Center for Patient Partnerships. Her focus is patient advocacy and patient-centered care, especially for underserved populations. Briana believes in implementing a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) lens in all of her work to promote equitable and actionable research.
Briana is currently assisting with developing a catalyst film on experiences with tobacco cessation services. She is also coordinating a Health Experiences Research Network project on experiences with opioid use treatment, Clinical Trials; COVID-19; and fostering community relations.
Briana was born and raised in Southern California and has resided in four states and over 15 different cities. Presently, Briana lives with her husband in Washington state and enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling.
