Mett is a first-year graduate student at UW-Madison pursuing a masters in Bacteriology. He graduated with a BA in Biology in 2023 and spent 3 years in the biotech industry working at a type 1 diabetes research center with the aim of providing an unlimited supply of islet cells for xenotransplantation to people with diabetes. His work highlighted the barriers to access in healthcare for people; hence, he is excited to be joining the team at the Center for Patient Partnerships to help navigate and direct resources to those in need within the Madison community. When not at school or work, Mett loves soccer, kayaking, or being at the beach. He also enjoys comedy and listening to music.
