Recent investments are making it possible for us to ensure that Wisconsinites all around the state know about our health advocacy services and resources.
In partnership with the LIFT Wisconsin, thanks to funding from WISTAF, we will be ensuring that folks who have experienced legal-issues related to COVID can get the help they need. People who have health-related legal issues will be referred from LIFT Wisconsin to our Health Justice Clinic. Clinic Coordinator Sachin Gupte shares: “Our students have so much value to add through our advocacy partnerships. I am excited to spread the word farther to make sure that anyone in WI who could use legal help with disability, insurance appeals, or employment issues related to the COVID pandemic can get it for free.”
With funding from ICTR, we will be partnering with Extension to formalize pathways to share resources with patients across rural areas. The project is entitled: Learning from Rural Voices: Disseminating the Health Experience Research Network’s Patient Experiences Modules. We offer a growing number of modules on HealthExperiencesUSA.org – including Breast Cancer, Young Adults with Depression, and experiences in Clinical Trials, we want to ensure that Badgers know about this valuable resource.
Co-Director Jacklitz notes: “Our hope was that our new partnership with Extension would open up opportunities to reach across our state. We are grateful to WISTAF and ICTR for investing in us, and thrilled to get to work sharing our resources.”
