Spring 2026 Mid-Semester Snapshot

Now halfway through the spring semester, CPP is proud to reflect on the 48 new students who joined the Community Resource Navigator Program and Health Justice Clinic. Since January, these students have been supporting individuals across Wisconsin as they navigate complex health care and insurance systems, gaining hands-on experience in patient advocacy through active casework.

Patients remain angry and worried. Health care costs continue to rise as private equity investment and corporatization reshape the delivery of care. In response, our students move beyond theory into practice. Through real cases, they learn to empathize with patients while applying critical thinking to solve complex problems. They advocate alongside patients, helping them make informed health care decisions, access essential resources, and challenge insurance denials.

At CPP, we believe effective advocacy both empowers individuals and strengthens systems. By pairing experiential education with patient-centered support, we prepare students for careers in health, law, and public service while expanding access to affordable care and critical resources for the communities we serve.

A special thank you to our dedicated staff. Your expertise, supervision, and mentorship sustain this work and ensure that students and patients alike are supported every step of the way. As we move into the second half of the semester, we look forward to continued collaboration, learning, and advocacy in practice.
