Jane Evered, PhD, RN is a registered nurse and nurse scientist passionate about relational care and qualitative approaches to inquiry. She completed her undergraduate studies in Human Biology at Stanford University where she studied the educational experiences of youth who manage chronic illnesses. Moving to Philadelphia, she pursued an accelerated bachelor’s in nursing program and Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania as part of the Hillman Scholars Program in Nursing Innovation. Dr. Evered’s program of research has centered on end-of-life experiences of adolescents and young adults with life-limiting illnesses and injuries, with a particular focus on social experiences. As a Q-HER Lab researcher, Dr. Evered strives to pursue research and advocacy collaborations that work towards improving person, family, friend, and clinician experiences of health & healthcare.
