Ellie is currently working as an administrator to the Q-HER Research Team. She graduated from UW-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Language Development and Immigrant Families in American Schools. She previously worked as an interpreter and translator for a School District and has volunteered in adult and student ELL classrooms. Her schooling and previous work experiences developed her passion in creating space for underrepresented voices in various systems and supporting strides towards equitable practices. Ellie has lived in Austin Tx, and LaCrosse, WI, and she has spent long periods in the Dominican Republic and Honduras. No matter how far she goes or how long she is gone, she always ends up coming back to Madison, WI; the city just has that magical power! In her free time, Ellie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, or attending a comedy show on State Street.
