Resource for Patients and Policymakers on Clinical Trials Available

The Center for Patient Partnerships’ Action Research Team – Rachel, Emily, Madison, and Briana – have published a new module on HealthexperiencesUSA.org.  In the Clinical Trials modules, patients, families, and policymakers can learn about peoples’ experiences with clinical trials for a range of medical conditions. Members of our research team talked with people who have multiple sclerosis, experience of breast cancer, people who are part of families with high cancer risk, and people who have children with experience of pediatric cancer.  People talked about their diverse experiences learning about trials, deciding whether to participate in a trial, being in a trial or trials, and ending participation in a trial. Some people also spoke about participating in research generally.

This resource was created in partnership with Oregon Health Sciences University, and funding from the UW-Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research and the Wisconsin Partnership Program.
