In mid-semester, Ashleigh Ross jumped right in to coordinate our wildly popular Community Resource Navigator Program and lead teach Legal Studies 473: Health Impacts of Unmet Social Needs. We are excited to have her join our mighty team and work closely with our Community Resource educator Sheray Wallace to guide students offering hundreds of students support navigating community resources.
Having received a PhD in Environmental Studies from UW-Madison, Ashleigh brought to us a strong background in community-based learning and experiences leading students in field placement activities in Madison and New Orleans. Her experience includes researching and publishing about community-based programs. Ashleigh’s skill set also includes community engagement, curriculum development, and program management. Ashleigh is excited to be part of the Community Resource Navigator Program working with students to improve client health by connecting them to community resources. When not at work, Ashleigh is usually dreaming up travel adventures, spending time with her family, or crafting.
